i have left my fish as they were for a while and they have now slowly died off . there were some good fish. :( . but now i need to fill it again. I have in the tank at preasent : 4 guppies, one peppered cory ( at the end of its life) and two dwarf blue rams. The tank is 20 gallons. any suggestions for some fish that will compliment the ones i have at present?

Well, cories, even old ones, like other cory companions, so 3-4 more would be nice. Other livebearers and tetras would look great with the guppies (male guppies, yes?), and otos are always cute fish, if your tank is mature enough for them ^^

If your fish are dying on you don't add any new ones, figure out whats going on in your tank first.

Yea, is it new? Going through a cycle? If it is, wait for it to complete the cycke, then add fish gradually, maybe ever 4 or 5 days or so until you have what you want.

I would recommend getting more corys. What sex are your guppies? If you have some females, think of the babies that will come. Even if you do survival of the fittest, some will survive, and you'll need some space for them.

I agree, that is the most important part. Did you cycle the tank? what were your water parameters? did you notice anything different about the fish or tank? What is your water change and gravel vac routine?

what i meant by" i left my fish for a while" was that i didnt get any new fish, they have all died from old age. params are perfect.

and i have all male guppies, i did have some females but the breading was too much.
