New fish questions

as some would know my fish are in the tank and fine. but a few q's strike me.

1. I bought 4 angels, 1 is bullying the rest. not nipping, but just chasing a little, what up?

2. I think my female swordtail is pregnant. I need info on this because i am quite braindead on the whole livebearer thing.

3. Do algae eaters, NEED algae in there diet? or is it just better? I have no algae in my tank, thats all.

1. Angels are somewhat territorial, so maybe that angel is just growing up. How big/old are they?

2. I imagine swordtail females are quite close to platies, which is what I've had. If so, you can basically tell by how fat the female is. If she's big and grows bigger, she's probably pregnant. When she's close to giving birth, her belly becomes squarish in shape. There should also be a gravid spot at the back of the belly, but in most colour variations (like red) it can't be seen.

3. Algae eaters do need some kind of vegetable matter in their diet. You should get them for example algae pellets or wafers (at least I think that's what they're called, excuse my insufficient English), or perhaps offer them some quickly boiled vegetables (cucumber, zucchini, peas, lettuce) as a supplement. What type of algae eaters are they, by the way?

Heh, thanks. It's far from perfect, especially when spoken and when I need to remember words, but I've had a lot of practise lately thanks to my English-speaking boyfriend.
