New Fish Didnt Eat Tonight

I added 4 Black Skirt Tetra's to my tank today, they were skittish at first and hid round the back of my plants but after a few hours they settled in and now shoal around the tank. However when I fed my other fish they didnt come out for any food, are they going to be ok for the night? I was thinking of dropping some flakes in Saturday morning before I go to work.

stop worrying so much....give them time....one day is nothing....

if they are not eating in 7-10 days then you should worry

New fish will often go off their feed for a few days. No need to worry, as a healthy fish can easily go 2-3 weeks without eating. Another possibility would be an insufficient number of fish in the shoal. Tetras do best in a shoal of at least 6 fish, so you may need to add a couple more to the group.

I admit I do a lot of pointless worrying, but its better to be safe than sorry IMO

Well as my tank is fairly new I didnt want to add too many fish at once and was advised by the shop owner to take 4, I can always add more later if needs be.
