new fish bowl

Is there any need as i av a air pump in the tank
Do i acually need holes in the cover
or can i leave it solid

just wondered if i need to drill holes in the plastic
cover ive made to stop my betta jumpin out my big
brandy glass bowl
ive a heater in there aswell as a sponge filter
its a big bowl about 5g mayb more

i was just wonderin on the holes not sure what to do
pls help

the holes wouldnt need to be too big.. and if you do it the right size you could thread some tubing into it attach an air pump and have bubbles goin on as well...

this way it would keep the water moving also
