I just added another yellow lab to my 65 gallon (total of 2).

All of a sudden my yellow lab that was already in that tank started chasing my male kenyi. (not sure of the sex of either yellow lab)

The kenyi ran from the yellow lab. Then the kenyi started shaking. His whole body started rapidly shaking. Why??

I feeel sooo bad for kenyi!! Why would yellow lab (not the newly added) start chasing kenyi all of a sudden??

please help!!

is this a maturity thing, because he is starting to turn yellow (not quickly I got him like that)

After I posted this I checked on the tank and his pelvic fins have black on them.

I am pretty sure that means he is mature or dominant. He is a male.

These cichlids will exert dominance over the others, Is the kenyi smaller? The "shaking"is just a sign of aggression. It can be a sign of wanting to breed, but I dont think that's the case here....

The kenyi is an average size for the tank, though he is smaller than the yellow lab he was being chased by

The Kenyi may be the meanest fish you have, later. I had to rehome one of mine. The remaining one was so terrorized by her, as were the other fish, that the poor little thing has not grown normally. She's the most docile in the tank....Go figure...
Of course it doesn't help that my Africans are in a 30 gal. tank...somrthing I did before I knew better!

Ya, mine are in a 65 gallon tank. The kenyi is no match for 1 of the yellow labs or the male pseudo aurora.
