New Filter

Well, i just installed a new filter in the tank(11 gallon tank). I got an internal filter. It sucks water from the bottom and flow through its outlet which is straight. My problem is that the pressure of the water coming out is so much. that fishes are not able to swim freely. Its creating an twirl in the water. what to do.

What i am thinking is joining a small hose peice and cutting some holes into it so that the pressure diffuses in those small holes.
As there is not speed adjuster.
Help please...

I had an issue like this before with a wisper internal filter. I used a piece of plastic on the intake to restrict the flow. Seemed to work good.
