New Filter

Just recieved my new eheim 2026 external which Im intending to use in my new trigon 190.

As my current filter on my existing tank is not powerful enough is it as straight forward as going ahead and using the eheim in conjunction with current filter until I can get the new tank setup and would the new filter working in my existing tank not help the cycling of the new tank when it comes time to switch it over?

Yes you can use the new filter alongside the old one and it will cycle it faster, just keep a close eye on ammonia and nitrite in case you get a spike.
When you set up your new tank and its been at least 4 weeks in the old tank then yes you can switch it over as all the beneficial bacteria is in the media so your tank is cycled.
