hi , i have 5 ft.tank and keep 3 turtles in about 10 inches of water height ,(about 200 litres)i have previously used ehiem filters but hated sucking dirty water to prime, now using an all pond solution ef1000 with uv, which you can push the prime button all day and has never primed (they say its the wrong filter for turtles as the tank has to be full to the top with water or it sucks air. please can anyone suggest a good filter big enough for the job, that does actually prime, and doesn't cost a fortune thanks

Most canister filters will work, I use the rena's. Depending on the types of turtles you could probably raise the water height.

An xp3 with partial weekly water changes would probably work for you.

I know this was posted awhile ago, but...

I also suggest rena. I use xp3 on my 4ft turtle tank.

And you should really fill the tank all the way up (for the turtles sake), and build some sort of fence along the top of the tank so they can't escape.
