Hi All,

I am now investigating adding another external filter to my 330litre (75UKG) tank. It's currently got an aquaone 1200 external that came with the setup which seems to be functioning just fine.

I have got 10 mbuna, 2 synodontis, 2 BN Plecos and 4 mollies left over from cycling (you try catching them in all that ocean rock!) The largest are the syno's at about 4 inches long, BN's are 3 ish and the rest are 2in tops, but I am planning on adding at least another 8 mbuna to the setup.

My question is, given the choices out there, how big a unit should I get? For example, the Eheim Pro II 2026 is good for up to 350litres, should I go for that, or the 2028 which is good for 600litres?

What are the opinons out there on which size is best for my setup? What about make?

Obviously, there are wallet restrictions to take into consideration too...

Cheers
Gordon

what ever one you go for get it from Here and use the 10% off coupon code CJ11PET493 :D , i got my 2026 from there a couple of weeks ago for £72 delivered with media :D

Personally I'd go with the 2028 - i'm running the 2026 on both of Juwel 180's and it's perfect for that size (especially when one of the tanks used to be full of Malawi's). Plus the flow's adjustable, so if the 2028's a bit much you can just tone it down a bit.

I saw Kevstir's previous post about the filter/discount - bought it from that site and it arrived via DHL within 2 days (obviously the 2028's a bit more cash than the 2026, but still a fantastic price).

id say get a pro 11 2028.i use one on my rio 240 and its really good.adjustable flow is good plus its really quite and really good quality.ive had mine for a year and it still looks brand new.
