New Editions To The House.

So just been to collect some rocks for mooshu the beardy from the nearby stream, came across some small pink frehwater shrimp! Picked some up for my 2.7 gallon tank (obviously i used a net to catch them but i got some) I also picked some rocks up for them because they were clinging to them in the stream, They are small and light pink like salmon pink and are deffinitely shrimp.

Any idea what species they are?

I'm in sheffield and no.
Only got 3. Two are about 1-1.5 centimetres and 1 small which is about 1/2 a centimetre.

You're in Sheffield? Crazy, small world lol. Where abouts was the river? I may have to investigate this shrimp thing... Could you get some pictures of them?

They look like this and are a light, salmon pink.

It's middle hay view. There is a woods near me (well across the road from me) with a stream that runs through it.

I've done some googling, I'm guessing Crangonyx pseudogracilis or Gammarus pulex?

May have a wander down there when I get home just to have a nosey at them. It's not to far from my boyfriends house which is convenient lol.

lol. They are quite hard to spot but i had to move rocks around to get some. Once you see them you will most likely fall in love with them because they are gorg!
