I lost two of my favorite boys to dropsy recently...So somebody went betta shopping yesterday. Went to a wholesaler, I wanted a marble and a female but figured I wouldn't likely find either coz a lot of their shipment (from Thailand, I think) was already sold and they get only a handful of either per shipment. So, after going through about 100 or more betta cups, I finally found one that I liked, and actually looked healthy despite only about an inch or two of water. Noticed he has a couple of rays missing from the dorsal and caudal, though, so put in some meds for finrot. Also, there's a ray of anal fin that looks like it got bent/broken...

(Is he DR?) CT boy, the colors aren't unique, but I like the pattern (looks butterflyish) and finnage. I got him flaring last night...

Curious about his body color, though, it isn't solid blue, and his face is piebaldish...I'm thinking not cambodian, can he qualify as a marble?

I hope I get first dibs next shipment, LOL :D

Very pretty boy. If by DR you mean double-ray, he's not, but he's still got really nice finnage. I don't think he'd be marbled, but he'd fit nicely into a multi category, as his colors are pretty balanced.

Thanks, everyone :) I love this boy  haven't named him yet, though...

GuppyDude, too bad we're so far away (Asia)! LOL Female crowntails are hard to come by in my area...Only ones I ever saw (once) were red cambodians.

I've heard of that body colour being called grizzled... marbles usually have red loss, right?
