New Crayfish, Help Please.

Hi guys. My roomie brought me home a new crayfish tonight. The petstore didn't know what kind he is. He's red in colour and 6-7 inches long. They said to feed him feeder fish. Does anyone know what sorta crayfish this might be?

crayfish don't need live food, they are omnivorous scavengers, they will eat frozen fish, mussels, peas, carrots, etc. they need vegetables to be healthy. They can eat plants in your tank (or just destroy them for a laugh). I love crays

To take that further, actually feeder fish have very little nutritional value for a crayfish. Sinking shrimp pellets and peas are what I use mostly.
