I had one lonely cory, so today I had some extra money & bought 2 more to keep him company. They looked healthy in the store, i thought so anyway. The one is just kinda sitting around minding his business, appears to be breathing normally & such. The other one is swimming around on the glass (like otos, i dont know if this is normal cory behavior or not) and then all of a sudden he stops everything, and floats for a minute, and then swims around again.

There doesn't appear to be any signs of illness on either one, does anyone have any idea what this could be? IME, fish acting like this are dead soon after, and I would rather not have that happen this time :(

The one I thought that was doing better has died, the other one is still alive, but not very active at all. :dunno: He ate a little last night, I hope he'll be ok.

No, no salt. There was when I first set it up, because of my mollys, but I had to wean them off of it cause I wanted my loaches ;)

I'm going to take them both to the pet store & see what they can do.

This is the same thing that has happened to me. I have one lonely cory left and i am reluctant to get any more. It swims up and down the side of the tank for a while and then sits at the bottom, I think it needs company. Is yours still eating. I have tried treating mine for bacterial infection but it doesn't seem to be having any effect. Hope yours is feeling better soon :(

I just took them back, one dead one almost (i think). I hope I have better luck next time, although my one healthy cory didn't seem to pay much attention to them. At least the girl betta I bought there is ok :)
