I have just bought a new clownfish after my large female bullied the male and he died.
I have rearranged the rocks and also made sure the new one is small, but it still looks to me that the female is bullying the new one.
She does not seem to physically attack it, but as soon as it comes out from the rocks she chasses it back down.
is it just establishing the pecking order?
or has she become a territorial bully?

if so should i get rid or her and get another one?
or should I take the new one back and keep her on her own?

she is very brightly coloured orange while the new one is a pale yellow.

Percs will usually accept another so long as they arent both female.

hmm, the new one is staying in the confines of the back of the tank, and there does not appear to be any physical attacks on it so i will monitor it for a few days and see

im a bit upset today, as previousely mentioned in another post i have been monitoring my nitrate levels. they have not risen, nor have they dropped so i decided on a small water change last night.
moments later one of my fire shrimp darted to the surface then fell softly to the bottom on his back and dropped dead.
have i done something wrong?
i changed as i always do and took my time.
im begining to think my marine is doomed.
