so hes about 4 inches and hes in my 29 for the moment ewill have tnak when needed but there awesome fish any ideas how to get it from feeders to something more healthy
Any pics? I would move him to a bigger tank right away to avoid stunting. To get him onto pellets or frozen food, just starve him for a few days then offer the pellets or frozen food.
I have one and luckily enough for me he eats frozen foods but bizarrely bloddworm and brine shrimp instead of larger lance fish and prawns. He eats a lot of catfish pellets as well
hes about 9 inches now and growing quick and a beautiful fish
I agree with other comments you need a bigger tank asap. once they grow on they start swimming in a manner which requires space as they kind of roam and hunt across tank
he look so small in that tank i figured he would do fine till he hit another inch or so (tanks go on sale in the summer in my area so i can get a huge one for a good price) would a 55 be better for him at the moment ?
he is beautiful though hes huge and loves attention ( i thought there where nocturnal but he seems to come out when it interests him
he is eventualy going to end up in the biggest tank i can find but in the next 4 months im looking for 6 long 3 wide 2 high becouse i figure i can keep him in that pretty much his whole life ( i know they can get bigger then that and will compensate if i have to) and im working on a picture being with out a camera its kind of hard ill get one soon before he gets moved to much hes absolutely beautiful im rather fond of him
