Just thought i'd let you guys know that im planning to breed another pair! I've had some problems with all of my three previous spawns and the babies dont seem to make it past about 6 weeks old :/ They seem to all suddenly die overnight -_- BUT.. We're going to try again and see if we can get it right this time!

Anyway, this is the pair im going to use...

The male is being conditioned at the moment (the female (and all my other bettas!) is already conditioned) So, in a week or so i shall try spawning them.. Any advice/tips/suggestions with keeping any fry i get alive would be much appreciated!!

Awh... that is a nice pair.

Am 0-3 myself... going for my fourth attempt. My breeders aren't as pretty... Greta and Ralph. I got a really nice blue girl for Ralph, but when Kimber arrived I figured she was still too small.

Not the best colors, but Ralph seems to like her just fine :D

Good luck :) Hmm, more baby bettas for meeeee, mebbe :shifty: All I can suggest is seperating the spawn as much as possible, keeping the water super cleanand perhaps trying a low dose of gerneral meds :dunno:

Nice pair ral! Good luck with them :D

If i do get any fry from these two they could be a very wide variety.. The male is from my LFS so i know nothing about him, and all i know about the female is that she carries melano! hmmm... Melano HM DT?! Unlikely...

Thanks for the tips OohFeeshy.. I haven't tried any meds in the tank - What sort of meds?! I wouldn't want to risk overdosing the tiny fry

Hopefully i shall have more success with these two than my last pairs.. I shall keep you updated! :D

No idea, I'd go for something very general on a very weak dose. But clean water is the best thing, it could possibly be something to do with the female carying melano, but I very much doubt it.

NO MEDSat all after 21 days start changing water at about 50% the increase this upto 80% from about 6 weeks, feed m/worms all the way through as they grow at diffrent pace i dont use bbs start crushed pellets at 6 weeeks and grated frozen bloodworms..the most important thing is the water is dechlorinated and the same temperature to within one degree either sid but no more...and plenty of siphoning the muck on a daily basis water changes every three days that about it and i have no problems with that routine it works and i get lots of healthy fish..........

Lets hope we both do better this time, Jessica 13.

You got that DT at a LFS? Amazing...
