new betta

I will be getting a 2.5 or 3 gallon "goldfish" ( _ ) bowl on saturday or i may use an empty 4.5 gallon tank i have. gonna have black gravel. live plants and a small pot in it oh and a betta if i am lucky enough to find one (they are as rare as rockking horse S*** here). i dont need to heat it as my room is always between 70 and 75 f and i will have "pond netting" over the top

how would i clean the water and how often as this will be unfiltered.

If you are not going to use a filter you need to change all the water about once a week. You can use a new turkey baster to suck out waste and any uneaten food if necessary between water changes.

ohh yeah same here and i use shot glasses too. my parents thnk i use them for toher reasons but they sont belive me that i use them to empty water out of a tank lol.
