ive seen topics on this problem before, but have never had to deal with it myself. til now. my newest betta has pin holes in his tail. im treating him with bettamax now. is this going to work, or should i try something else? its really sad to see this.

BettaMax® is antibacterial as well as antifungal. It should be effective against "pin holes", which is usually of fungal origin.

Personally, I use Potassium Permanganate (PP) to treat fungal "pin holes" (Click here for info about PP).

Anyway, it's good that you've got BettaMax®. It is much safer and should be able to treat the "pin holes". Keep the water clean and follow the instructions on the packaging.

May your betta get well soon. :)
