New Betta!

I got a new betta that I rescued at Pet Smart! He was so preety! I couldnt resist him! I also noticed that his pectral(?) fins are huge! So I bought him a 2.5 gallon tank and hes swimming around happily.

What are the shape of the pectoral fins, because one of my bettas, Gunther has very long pectorals. He looks like one of those goldfish from Fantasia. They are not rounded like most bettas.

Your betta is lovely. What are you going to call him? The pectoral fins are located at the side, right behind the gills. The ventral fins are right underneath him, before the long, wide anal fin. Just thought I'd let you know. Darn, now I have to finish. The top fin on his back is called the Dorsal fin and the tail fin is called a caudal fin. Ok now I feel better. Sorry about that, but when you start something, you gotta finish.

Thank you! I'll be sure to write that down His pectoral fins are kindve shaped like a diamond. I've already decided to call him Artemis. I use to watch a cartoon and Artemis meant the moon is some way, kindve like luna. So Artemis's colors reminded me of the moon
