New Betta - My First

Hey guys, I got my first betta yesterday! (Technically my first betta, though my Mom has had them before so I have some vicarious experience.)

Anyone wanna see?

He seems to have a bit of crowntail in him, you can't really see it in the photo but there is a little there, though mostly VT I think. My little mutt.

Raeburter - sometimes the peter stores is all they have. I know the one in the bigger town where i live only sells those kind and red ones like that pretty much. So depending on your area there isn't much of a selection.

I think it is cute though!! i will maybe take a photo of mortimer, they look almost identical

No, he's not. He's not nipped his tail at all and hasn't been anywhere that he could have ripped it. And it doesn't show up on the photo but it does look very crowntail-like.

Raeburter, I don't think he's common at all. I've only ever seen a couple like him in any of my lfs's, usually all they have are reds really. And I've never seen any with any CT in them like I think he has.

Jollysue - very inquisitive! He came face to face with a floating thermometer yesterday and you could see going through his little head "What on earth...?" until he decided it wasn't a threat and swam off!

Yes, Kaida, I like the third picture. His alert nature shows through there. He will make a fine pet. I think his color is very royal. If you can get a piccy of him flaring, post it so we can see his tail, too.

But whats wrong with reds?!! My very first betta was a red VT and he was beautiful!!
