new betta comming

I have today reserved a new betta at my lfs
I'll pick him up on monday

He is, I belive, a butterfly veiltail
body and fins are white and there is a band of
lilac/purple/mauve (whatever lol) on the fins.

This description I found on the net which is the best match I've found.
A bi-coloured form in which the colour pattern of the body (which may be of any colour) partially blends into the transparent or white fins and tail (body / blend / fin edges). The effect is to create an oval band around the fish, which ideally is separated from the body by a narrow, white or transparent zone.
Choice Butterfies have a coloured body with a white blend into the fins and then a final blend back to the body colour towards the edge of the fins. Fins should display a distinct banded pattern, with strong contrast and well defined edges. The bands should also encircle the body of the fish with a well defined oval shape.

As soon as I bring him home I'll take pics.

Oh and he will go into my 13 gallon tank with my pearl and roseus danios un till my fry have grown and then he'll have his own 6 gallon tank

Erm these are pearl and roseus danios not Zebras or Leopards
I wish people would not tar all danios as fin nippers they are not!
Sorry that had to be said, any rant over.
