New Apple Snail

I got my first apple snail today a golden one yay.... Well in the bag it popped his head out to say hi them when i released him he has just stayed in his shell for at least 4 hours. Is this normal and will he got more confident

He is probably just taking his time to acclimatise, he should be fine. Some can take about 24 hours before venturing out.

just checked up and he is now on the side of the glass so he is fine
