I have bought some new corals:d:D:D

I will put some pics on asap......

I have also bought a beautiful baby cowfish called Daisy

She has been tempting me and my husband for weeks and is so unbeliveably cheeky

Am going to dig out my camera in a bit when I've finished my coffee so I can show off my newest babies :good:

I also bought a HUGE goldfish because I have a softspot for goldies even after all these years

I have a post in the members tanks thread....but I have moved things around and added stuff since then.

Anyway here are the promised pics.....

Wow, nice looking tank :good:

The secoond pic looks like a non-photosynthetic sponge\
The third looks like a sun coral in not the best of health. Sun corals NEED direct feedings as they too are non-photosynthetic of mysis/brine/etc so get your turkey baster the next time its polyps are out and give it some food. Also looks like a Tridacna Derasa clam (might be a different species, but the genus is right)

Oh, and next time you take photos, try doing it without the flash, get way more blues and purples that way :D

Thanks Ski.

The yellow one has only opened fully last night and this evening, now I have got a proper look at it I agree it looks like a sun coral. I'm hoping that it will open up more when it's had time to settle...(I only put it in the tank yesterday)

Should i just squirt my usual coral food at it?? I use Salifert Coral Food

Never used salifert but they eat bigger chunks of food most of the time so if its got chunks, go for it. If not, feed mysis/brine/krill

Fantastic corals

Please keep us updated regarding the preferred foods and light.

Nice tank as well

Oh my goodness!!! What a greedy sun coral!!

I couldn't find a turkey baster so I just held some frozen brine shrimp in some tongs and the sun coral ate it all!!! It held the whole chunk and ballooned up all around it!

I took some pics which I'll have a look at in a min and if they're any good I'll post them on here.

All I need to know now is...how often should I feed he sun coral and how much should it be getting at each feed??

Today it has had a cube of brine shrimp about the size of asugar cube! I'm assuming it was very hungry

can just about see the greyish mass of brine shrimp inside the sun corals mouth :good:

It is definately happier now it's been fed and my husband is convinced the yellow is even more vivid now
