There seems to have been some problem with shipments coming out of Brazil lately, and so it's been a while since I was able to add interesting new corys to my collection.

Today I went to my favorite lfs and WOW!!! Corys everywhere!

I got 6 C. adolfoi and 6 C. burgessi, both fish that are not usually seen around here. I'm so happy tonight! :D

Dwarfs,

If you read this and are interested in corys, go to Aqua Hut ASAP. They also got in C. arcuatus, C. melini, C. robinae and C. julii. They are all beautiful and in great shape except for the juliis.

I'd definately try to get some cories if we go out there, I'm setting up a new tank soon (with sand) and I need some fish to help keep the sand stirred up :)

Hi Dwarfs :)

If you want fancy corys, get them from Aqua Hut while you can. But, if bronze and albino C. aeneus, or C. pandas will do, I'd be happy to give you all of them you want. I've got zillions of them! Just let me know when you want them. :D

My dad said we might do out to some places later in the week, so I'll keep an eye out for some cories. We have to clear out a couple quarantine tanks first :p

I want to try something other than bronze and peppered, but thank you very much for the offer  I kept pandas once but they died overnight :dunno:

 Albinos all the way for me! I love those little guys. I plan on buying loads more for my sandy 120 gallon!

I have soem incredible news on my part...a lfs...that i have been going to for some while decided to be "nice" they sold me 10 pandas at $2.40 each so i was sooooo happy the reason it was 10...was because thats all they had left...i've had them for 2 weeks in quarantine....and there fine...so they are now going to be distributed amongst my tanks  or I might just put them all into a 55g that I have that is almost empty...just has a pair of apistios....cockatoos (red) so they should go well.

LoL I can't believe i gave a pair of red apistos that much room to breed...lol

Hi Rybka :)

It's been my experience that, even more than other kinds of corys, pandas benefit by being kept in a larger group. They are delicate little things and stress, of any kind, seems to lead to bacterial infections and/or sudden death.

My most successful arrangement seems to be where I am now keeping my school of them. It's a 20 gallon long tank that has been established for over a year. I moved them there at the beginning of the year when I was in the process of changing some of my tanks over to sand. This one still has the little gravel in it, and it is working out so well that I think I'll leave it at that. In it are over 20 pandas a C. habrosus, and 10 to 12 otos. By any way of figuring, this tank is over stocked, but with twice weekly water changes, and 2 filters running, they are thriving.

You are fortunate to have been able to buy a good sized school of pandas and to have had no loses due to their move. If you keep them together in one tank, you can easily do the extra water changes they seem to benefit from and will be able to enjoy them all the more.

i kinda noticed the opposite but it could of been a mistake by me. I had 1 Panda cory in my 10 gallon and It was doing good. It was eating and growing and active but then i added a second and they both died. All my cories have done better in smaller groups. I had 4 albinos and 4 greens and now i have 2 greens adn 1 albino adn theyre doing good
