Just picked up 3 Mono's today they have settled in very quickly
Was going to go for some younger ones but could not find any,
except for these 3 they are at least trhee inches already and cost me £55 but they do look impressive. B)
Even found a rather large bit of bogwood that is soaking in the bath. :fun:

Monodactylus sebae or Monodactylus argentius? Both are nice fish.

Watch the pH and hardness when adding bogwood to brackish tanks, if your water is has a low KH then the pH and GH may drop due to tanic acids being released which brackish fish will not enjoy at all, you want to keep the pH up at around 8 and the hardness at 15 or more ideally.

They are Monodactylus argenteus or Finger Fish.
It is only one piece of bog wood that will be well soaked first in Hot water in the bath then for a week out in the water but in a strong brine i have found this to work well in the past.
But thanks anywayfor your advice.
