First off, in another topic, I fixed my homemade stand/tank not being level. It looks and sits just fine now!
I only put on 1 magnum 350 canister filter hooked up to an undergravel "section".(I ran 2 on my old 55gal) The back right corner is the only spot being filtered. I'll be using a gravel washer/siphon tube on the rest of the tank during water changes.
I still use my Biowheel pro 60 w/powerhead. This thing is great and really does what it's supposed to do. I also am now using an air pump hooked up to one of those small, clear plasitc, square filters. I see them advertised for 10gal tanks. I put in some of the ammonia killing rocks in it and hid it behind some bigger lava rocks. It's not being used as a filter per-say, more of just an ammonia killing device.
This tank is HUGE. I had a 55gal in the same spot before, but being so used to that tank for the last 4 years made me really appreciate the 90.
I cut back some of the fish that are in it, gave the others to my little bro.
1 Frontosa (bought this tank for him)
1 green severum
1 gold severum
1 rainbow shark
2 bumblebee cats
1 spotted & 1 striped raphael cats
1 african brown knife
I'm going to get about 2-3 more afr. brown knifes soon. My wife really likes them, and now I have more than enough room for em.
Now that I have a spare 55gal and a spare magnum 350 filter, I'm running all kinds of tank setups for my basement in my head I'd love to have about 200 neons in it! That would look cool, with some live plants........hhhmmmmmm...
