Hey everyone,
I set up my first tank this weekend and I've got a couple of questions about it!
I'm planning to eventually put a Betta fish in it and some ghost shrimp.
I haven't started cycling it yet, (I've just put in the dechlorinator).
Here how my tank's looking:
I'm sorry but I'll bombard you with questions now!
Firstly, is there enough substrate in there? I have a lot more so I can add extra.
Secondly, I had a 100W heater for it but it was way too big, so I've ordered a small 50W one (which should arrive Wednesday). Will the plants be ok without it?
Thirdly, is this enough plants for a betta and shrimp? Is there anything else I should put in there for them to make them happier?
Fourthly, I'm a little concerned with the filter because I know Betta fish don't like strong currents. Is there a way of telling if it's too strong? Also, is it ok to put the filter behind the plants like this?
Sorry again for all the questions, I want to make sure the tank's ok before I start cycling it!
