Ok here goes,
The tank is up and running as what you call a fish in cycle,Set up = lighting T5's 1 power glo,1 life glo,200w heater,EFX200 filter,Co2 system Substrate is??? cant remember now and cant find the pkt, its 2 seperate types a compost for the base then another top layer,all this is over a base heater.
I topped up the tank and ran for a day to check all was ok filter heater ect, then emptied and set up the base heating for the plants then filled with the substrate, topped up with tap water which had been left standing for a couple of days plus an addative to help remove chlorine.
Power on and left for a few days, added another product for the filter to help start the bacteria left for a week.Then tested daily for
NH3/4 = 0 mgl
PH = 7.5
NO2 = 0.25
NO3 = 25 mgl
most have stayed pretty stable. I know its a bit early but i am expecting all to go pear shaped pretty soon
