Hi bedhead, and :hi:

How big is your tank? I've never kept goldfish, but i hear they require a pretty big tank. Also I think your angel will get lonely by itself! For angels to properly grow to their full potential, they need 10 gallons of water to themselves, and a tall tank, at least 18" high.

Generally speaking, I'm not sure it's a good idea to mix goldfish, which are a coldwater fish, with tropicals like angels, neons, and the others.

I've heard that before too. Although goldfish can tolerate the higher temperatures required for a tropical aquarium t is unadvisable to constantly keep them at the temperature.

I can't remember why or what the consquences were though I'm afraid

First of all, did you Cycle your tank? How big is your tank? Are all you fish in one tank? You seem to have added alot of fish in the last little while and could create a deadly imbalance in your water(aka ammonia or nitrite posioning) if not cycled. There's also a couple of things you need to know. You should always research your fish before buying it, that way you know what species it is, how large it will grow(therefor what size of tank it needs), what conditions it lives in and its compatablilty with other fish. For instance you bought Koi, these are large cold water gold fish and should be kept in large pond/ aquarium. Angel fish and Gouramis are semi aggressive and require warm temperatures(75-79F. Your brown bottom feeder sounds more like a Plecostomus, but then again it could be an type of Cory, in your case I hope its a cory b/c the great size difference between the two(some pelcos can reach 20 inches).
Please try to research your fish so you can understand them better :)

Hi :D
Ok my tank is a 15 gallon tank I did cycle the tank first. Then in went 5 neons and a golfish(hes out now) Then 7 days later another 5 neons and a cory who i just researched grow to 4 inches so i think he will be alright.7days after i put in 2 mollies, and the last two were the goramis and baby angelfish 1 week later. W :as this 2 fast ??? The mollies babies are in a hatching tank 23 livley fish Don't know what to do with all them give them back to the shop mabey !!

15 gallons with just koi is overkill. Koi get gigantic, as in superhuge. you would need something closer to 150 gallons than 15 gallons. You are way overstocked. It seems to me the lfs guy is cheating you. Good thing its out now, but where have you put it?

As to your adding fish, I think it may be a little too fast. Start with 3, then add 3, then another 3, and so on. At least thats what i do. Of course, depends on the size of the fish you are adding. Angels need tall tanks, and yours might be too small when it is full-grown.

P.T.
