Hi all :)
While I'm not new to fish keeping, I've only recently upgraded it to 'passion' level rather than 'hobby'. I've been haunting the forums here for a few weeks, but only recently joined and thought I'd actually start posting now ;)

I recently got a 130L Aquaone tank, shown below, and moved my fish in from my old smaller tank.
Currently it has
1x Angelfish (who's around 6 years old)
1x Silver shark
4x Guppy
1x Bristlenose
I'm planning on adding another Bristlenose and another Angel (my current Angel is pretty laid back, so hopefully there won't be any issues with a new Angel).
The shark has, of course, outgrown the tank. He was a gift, and neither I nor the person giving him to me were aware of how big he could get ;) I'm looking for a new home for him, but haven't had any luck so far. He seems quite content, anyway, and is good buddies with the Angel fish.

I've never had real plants in a tank before, so while I plan on eventually having lots more plants in this tank, I'm taking my time adding them (along with perhaps more driftwood) so I can do more research on how to care for them, and to be sure I get the right ones to suit my tank. I'll rearrange everything in the tank as I add more plants to it, I know it's a bit dull right now :)
Any advice anyone can give me about it? How do you think it's coming along so far?

I like it mate, the substrate is great. Your Angel has got a fantastic tail, would love to see it up close. And i doubt it would be laid back if you introduced a new one, lol.

Hey there, Tank looks real good mate, but wont the Silver shark grow out of a 130 Litre Tank? Angel looks awesome

Hi mbeer21,I think it looks good sometimes we put too much in our tanks in order to look natural then overcrowd them instead.Your angel looks good I also have only one from a original trio. TC

Thanks very much :) I used to have another angel in with this guy a few years ago, but that one mysteriously died while I was away and friends were minding them... :/

Great tank. I would definitely get some kind of background. I like your idea of rehoming the shark. Have a plan B with the idea of introducing a new angel. Your laid back one could become very very fierce if she decides she is not interested in a tank mate. You could do a group of new angels and see if your original pairs with any of them? Either way, lots of hiding spots and keep a good eye out. I would like to see a large school of tetras in that tank. Cardinals or rummynose tetras.

Good luck.

Thanks Karin; I'd like to put a background on, I didn't think of it when I purchased the tank. I'll have to move the whole thing when I move house next year, so I'll look into getting a background for it then.
I still have my old smaller tank up and running (no fish, though) so if the angel's disagree I'll put the newbie in there instead, and get a friend for him ;).
