I might be buying another 10 gallon tank, and I was discussing putting either a couple female bettas, or getting a divider for males. Can females live together? I am not sure if I will be breeding them with the males I have already, but I would like a couple I think.
Are there any kinds of plants betta cannot have in their tank? I would like to do a planted tank with them. If I do a divider, how would the filtration work?
Sorry for all the questions and rambling.
Thanks.

If you keep males and divide, make sure the aeration and filtration are spread and that the water flow is low.

 Females are aggressive, so you should make sure you know what you're doing.

I've heard that you should have at least four females if you plan on putting them together (though I've had success with three before.) It depends on the temperment of the females more than anything, I think. They always quarrel for dominance right when you put them together or add another, but mine get along just fine now
As long as you have plenty of hiding places for everyone, it should be fine.
