Can anyone advise
A friend has a 5 yr old Manx Tom cat that was neutered over 4 yrs ago.
He recently went AWOL for 5 weeks but is home again, since getting him back he has been very R*ndy, mounting fur toys, his bed and his owners arms!!
The question is they also have an entire queen that has just had 7 kittens 3 days ago ,seeing as the queen never gets out everyone where blaming each other for letting her out at some time.
6 of the Kittens are normal kittens but the 7th has been born with NO TAIL seeing as we are rural and there is def no other manx owners in the area what do you all suggest?

Hmmm...not sure. Has your friend taken him to the vet to confirm if he is indeed neutered? Perhaps it was done incorrectly the first time.

On a side note, nice to see you around I was wondering just the other day where you had wandered off to.

They have an apointment for friday,he def cant have been done properly as there is only 2 manx in the area apart from the newborn and they are both hers

I have just been very busy with the various forums I mod and admin on but I will hopefully be back on here again

I'd be rather irritated with the vet that charged me for neutering him. :X

Hope to see you around.

Something gone wrong then, can happen. Get him checked out.
Men get the snip and it doesn't always work, my hubby had it done twice and they wouldn't let me watch. :hey: so I guess it can happen with other animals too.

I think he probably wasn't neutered at all by the sounds of things! I have never heard of a cat castration going wrong yet i.e not working( I worked at an animal hospital for 7 years ) as unlike humans who get their tubes tied off cats have the whole lot removed so it would be pretty hard to miss! and since he doesn't have a tail you should be able to see his bits quite clearly
