Hi there :) well, the plants are still doing their best to grow in my 17L Nano (~78F) but, some one of the plants came with some hair algae attached that is now doing very well (though the plant is also recovering).

Would a nerite snail be ok in this tank? they look to me like they do well with a decent flow.... and perhaps not so war a tank?

Any thoughts? LFS has a single zebra nerite for sale (quite large - so probably wouldn't live too long now)... But i don't want to put it somewhere it may suffer...

Nerite snails would probably be ok; I was told they'd do ok in a 'room temperature' tank as well as in a tropical tank (from a friend who is big into her snails - so she had no benefit by "mis-selling" me a snail as she wasn't selling it). Tank size should be fine for a singular snail too :)

Just to say the nerite is in, and was already very active, has made head way clearing up the hair algae :D

Hopefully his shell damage will clear up? he's about an inch long, so i don't know how long he will live for? (would definately pick up another one!)
