nerite snail questions

I recently bought a nerite snail and it seems fine so far, but he only stays on one main wall. I have brown algae in my tank and he seems to have cleaned most of it on that one wall. the other walls have algae on it and he wont leave that one wall I even took him off and set him down on the substrate but he just went back on the same wall. This seems weird to me because if he can get up why cant he get down or turn the corner? Anyway since there is not much algae on there I don't know how to feed him because he wont come down

Just leave him be would be my best advice. Try algae wafers but my snails ignore that. Try broccoli. Maybe it is shy and will stay there a bit. My largest snail is just hanging off the side of my tank for the whole day.

The snail will be fine, you don't have to purposely feed them, they scavenge

Give him time to acclimatize, I don't believe it is a problem at all.

Nerite snails are a great addition to any planted aquarium and they will be really good friends the dwarf shrimp. They do not reproduce in freshwater.

20 gallon standard, 7.6+ PH, and i dont know what kind i just got it from petco it has a dark shell with yellow spirals

I'm sure he's fine. Just leave him alone and he will figure it out. As long as your water conditions are decent, he should be ok.

Ahhh.... That is a Zebra Nerite Snail! Same like mine!
