Neons Only Or Mix With Black Neon...

I'll be getting neon tetras soon, but want to know what you will do, get about 20 neon tetras or mix 10 neon tetras with 10 black neon tetras??

(i have read they don't school together, but i don't care)

I've never found neons to school very tightly anyways (once they settle they realise there is no danger).

But really it's entirely up to what you like to look at. 20 neons will look more 'impressive' than 10:10 neons and blacks. And keeping more induce them to shoal a bit more tightly.

But if you fancy the variety then go for 10 of each.

i have 25 neons and 10 black neons in my tank. the neons are shoaling nicely the blacks also stay together ok but not as well .its up to u i personaly love having both
