Found the right setting to shoot the little Blighters!!

they look great i've always loved neon's my dad used to keep and breed them, now im also thinking of getting myself some and maybe going down that route

I just got some small neons for 10 for $3.50 (great deal isn't it ) one died the 2nd day but the rest look fine. If they survive another week and grow bigger I will consider go back and get another 10

they're better pics, were these with the Sony 380? That last one what settings did you have??

I used:

S mode (shutter priority) ISO 1600 +1 exposure fine lg (14mp) with flash...

Also Try:

A mode (Aperture mode) set to F20 with above settings... oh and manual focus.

try shooting from 18mm setting and crop like the last photo you get alot more in focus.

Oh and shoot from an angle to avoid flair from flash on the glass.

P.s. Custom white balance 5800k M4 if that works
