Neon Tetras Exploding!

Hi every1 i have a tropical tank and in it i have lots of different community fish but lately i have noticed that my neon tetras are becoming fat and there stomachs are exploding and the die. I only feed my fish once a day and i dont put alot of food in. Just enough for every fish. WHy is this happening and what can i do to stop it.

Are the tetras maybe "stealing" the food from the other fish? By that I mean maybe getting to the food first and taking more than thier share.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Need to improve the fish diet with more frozen foods and veg.
To many dried foods can cause constipation.
Feed some shelled peas.

Are scales sticking out.
is the red stripe area still vibrant red.

HOW MANY TIME A DAY DO U FEED THEM?

OVER FEEDING THEM CAN MAKE THEM DIE?
