Neon Tetra Inquiry

I have 2 cardinals and 5 neon tetras . Just one of these neons has a problem. Its red stripe has faded and is patchy. His/her blue stripe is bright though,he eats well and is quite happy with the other neons and this fading doesnt seem to bother him at all. Has anyone any ideas what is happening and will the red stripe return over time?

Never heard of anything like this before. You may find his red stripe returns after time. A varied diet including live or frozen food may help.
