How long does it take a neon to die after contracting neon tetra disease?

What are early symptoms?

When purchasing new ones, how long should they be quarantined to determine if they are disease free?

Quarantine, about four months. People try two, but that might not be long enough for the fish to exhibit symptoms.

Early symptoms are the late symptoms, losing color. It's normally the bluish part of the fish turning white, though it happened to the red parts of mine.

Mine died a few days after, unless I euthanized (still waited to make 100% sure).
