I bought 12 neon's and cardinal tetras and I wanted to mix with other fish. I'm thinking to get clown loach/ any other loach species. What other decent fish can I mix other than tetras? Thanks for ya help B)

Zeroskull, any peaceful fish that can't eat the neons will work just fine. Black ghost knives get quite big and defenitely shouldn't be in a 2 footer.

Personally I would advise you return the BGK, and maybe even the sword tails. If you have two male sword tails, they are territorial, and known to fight. If you have a male and female, be prepared to rehome a lot of fry. Live bearers also create more waste, so too many could overload your bio filter.

If you fancy loaches, why not consider three Khuli loach to compliment your Cardinals? or if you fancy something else, how about dwarf gourami? Honey gouramis are beautiful, they are shy and none aggressive (in my experience) and are the smallest. Here is a pic of mine

Either three Khulis and your cardinals, or a honey gourami with three otos and your cardinals would be fine in that size tank, IMO (assuming a 24x12x15) A bit of plant cover would be appreciated by all of these fish.

These options are provided your tank has matured for a few months. Cardinals, Otos, and Khulis are particularly sensitive to water parameters, so should be introduced slowly.

Good luck! :)

That a lovely looking healthy fish.

Thank you, Wilder! :) The lighting in that pic doesn't give enough credit to the lovely orange around the fins, which he/she developed over the period I have had him/her. (I am thinking she is female, since my male red robin has started to show occasional interest lol!)

Since you like loaches Kuhli loaches would be a good addition. :)
