Neon Gone Wierd On Me

So over the last couple of days one of my neon tetras has gone a bit strange...it keeps hiding in my cave ornament on its own when the others are fine and spread around the tank. It does feed (thankfully) but I noticed it is looking a bit swollen around its belly?!?! I didn't really think this is an emergency (hopefully it will stay that way) so I put it here for now to get some specialist tetra knowladge

my neons sometimes did this and after a while they went back to normal again so dont worry too much

If you think that it is getting very big it could be dropsy. check for scales sticking out ..
it isnt contagious so you should be ok with the rest.

when my fish had this i turned the temp up by a degree or two, and didnt feed for 2 days just to check it wasent constipated.

Hawkins yes dropsy is contagious...the oedema (build up of fluid that causes the swelling) is not contaigous because it can be caused by other things like vitamin B deficiency and it is only fluid. The fluid build up is called Malawi Bloat.
Dropsy is caused by a bacteria and so it is highly contaigous and I have experience of it being passed from 1 fish to another.
And by the way no it isn't dropsy.
