Fish Herder
Hi bigfish is having problems with her new male siamese fighting fish called nemo, he has been in my tank for 5 weeks, my tank is well established and is home to 2 young platies, 4 white cloud mountain minnows, 3 cory catfish and 1 lonely swordtail (female) decorated with 3 live amazon swords.
He's been happy so far but the last week he's been poorly his fins started to rot which i sorted that back out with some treatment and have improved but now his eyes have swollen up and he doesn't seem interested in his surroundings, spend most of his time mopping around the gravel at the bottom.
I checked the water chemistry for ammonia and nitrite and the results were zero and the nitrate level was 15mg litre (same as tap water)
So i have been treating him with anti internal bacteria by interpet but hasnt made any difference. he is the only one that is poorly.
