Hi all,
my neighbour came today with 2 angelfish & said - can you help me, (the ex) took the tank and didn't want these 2. So anyway, for a week they have been living in about 4 inches of water with no filtration or even air bubbles - arg.
So... as I didn't want to see them die I said I would take them. Now, I KNOW that my tank is WAY tooo small (6 gallons) and I am going to check with a friend and see if she has room in her 4 ft. but until then, what do I do? The are both clamped a little bit. - one seems to have improved in the last 20 minutes, but the other is not looking so good - breathing heavy etc.
I really know nothing about them except they need a tank at least 18 inches tall -
all advice welcome and please know I will find them a more suitable tank asap & will do frequent water changes until then.

Thanks -
Susan

- also, they were quite healthy fish the girl said, until that is they were swimming is a tiny bit of unfiltered unaerated water for a week!!!

They REALLY need some good, strong aeration. That change alone should make a world of difference.

Ok - I have teh regular filter in there and I did put in an air pump as well just in case. Will that be ok? I have a friend who is checking on her parents tank, otherwise I will take them to the LFS this weekend.
