Needle nose gar (Xenentodon cancila)

Hey, just wondering if this fish is fully freshwater. Ive read the article in the index and the guide to odballs, its just im sure ive seen them in the brackish tanks at my lfs. Were they wrong???

Xenentodon cancila is found in both fresh and brackish waters in the wild so can be used for either type of set up provided the salt level isnt too high.

Which is best then? I was planning on putting it in a fw tank, with a bichir and a dat. It b about 70-90 gals.

I have one these fish living in a freshwater set up with various cichlids and a hujeta gar, be careful though as they can be very fussy eaters /

Yea hows that goin? Is one ok and how big is ur tank? I read they are very fussy ill try to get it of live foods, but aparently they're great to watch when hunting.
