Needle Gar Won't Eat

Hey everyone,

I've tried feeding my needle gar everything...flakes, pellets, veggies, frozen food, etc. The only thing I haven't fed him so far is live food. Do they only eat live food or is he just getting settled in?

I have heard that they only accept live foods, and need should be fed a variety of live foods. Since I have never kept one, I am not going to say it isn't possible to feed it frozen foods, but it is a carnivore; which means flakes, veggies, and pellets are ruled out indefinitely. What size tank are you keeping yours in?

I brought some from wildwoods and they accepted frozzen food.
In the short time i had them i saw them munch small frozzen mussels and prawns.
So it is possible with bit of time and lots of frozzen variate to get them to switch. What size are they and what other surface dwellers are they in with?
