Ok so I want to breed my trilineatus cories, eventually. I was hoping to buy any supplies i need before hand so I don't kill any eggs or fry (which is probably going to happen anyway, but let's be positive). I read the pinned post about cory breeding for newbies but I need to know more. So please feel free to add or correct anything I have in my "list".

  1. a breeding tank
  2. 1+ fry/egg tanks (have more floor space rather than height)
  3. sand (i hear it can be just regular kid play sand)
  4. only thin layer of sand in the fry tank (or is it better to go with no sand?)
  5. some kind of anti fungal/bacterial treatment for the fry tank (what and where can I get it?)
  6. brine shrimp for adults and fry (where can I get them?)
  7. air stone(s) for the fry tank (but I have noticed increased movement with my current cories after adding the air stone so maybe put one in all the tanks)
  8. plants/rocks/structures in the breeding tank (should anything be put in the fry tank?)

And obviously the basics for any tank (way to clean the tanks and check the water, filters, cycle the tank BEFORE adding fry/eggs etc.)

My cories haven't had any eggs that I know of and don't act like they are planning on it any time soon. But as it stands now, if they did, the eggs would be on their own. So ANY tips, suggestions, or you-need-to-dos are very welcome.
