Need Ya Help On This One Plz

Hi there ok firstly my plattie had babies Yeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaa only a few well 12 then another one had some aqfter that about 25 or so cant count them wont keep still long enough (ha ha ha) anyway........as im still new to all this i was wondering why the plattie that had its fry some 3 weeks ago now is still huge!...still has a white belly like her skin couldnt stretch no more, upon looking i cant see no black bits hence fry she is just huge it has not gone down since her fry were born but now over last week as i took her out for a while because i thought she was ready to drop again she is forever being chased by other fish mosty platties but also a guppy where ever she goes they go i feel so sorry for her because she cant get away from them and they are so close to her and sometimes even nudge her bit like a bully ...whats going on?........what shall i do?

Do you have a back up tank possible? She needs her rest, away from the other fish. She seems like she could be bloated pretty bad. BTW, congrats on the fry.

hi there thanx for replyinh she had these babies about 3/4 weeks ago now and she had a rest for two days after the birth but why is she so bloated when i say bloated i mean bloated why she is worrying me now? oh yes got a tank small one but its got babies in hers so 3/4 weeks old grow so much also some other babies in from the other fish about week behind hers there growing now too some colour begining to come on them now please help i dont know what else to do

Female platies have the ability to store 7 amounts of sperm and therefore can give birth every month until this is used up.(please correct me if i'm wronf) You say that she gave birth 3/4 weeks ago so there is a possiblilty she is pregnant again.

My male platies used to nudge and harrass my females when they were pregnant. The males try to make the females give birth so that they can have a tasty snack. I would place her in a separate tank that way she would get a rest from this attention.

Looks like you may have a lot more fry soon.
