Hey,

It turns out the a 20 lb bag of eco-complete is WAY more than enough to fill a 10g. I have about a 2.5 inch layer in the front to about a 4 inch layer in the back. Anyways, I need to remove some of it so I can aquascape. To store it, should I just put in in a bin or plastic bag and let it dry?? Or should i keep it moist??

Dont think it really matters, its wet when you buy it as is contain live bacteria. I do wonder what the point of that it, no other substrate is ready 'live' and they work just as well, so I wouldn't worry about keeping it dry, just put it in a pot :)

Hmm, thanks from me on that answer too: I was about to post this question! I have a 40lb bag coming, for a 20G. I think it'll be too much. Nice to know I can store it. Drying out won't affect the way it works?

Wierd, a 20lb was just enough for my 5.5 gallon, barely had any spare! It is a bit deep at the back though :)
