Well I bought a background today, solid blue, and put it on my 10 gallon today. Next thing I'm going to be doing is draining the water out and moving the fish temporarily to change the gravel in it. This is what it looks like right now.

The question I have is will the gravel like I have in my betta tank look ok in my 10? I'm thinking these gravel:

are gonna look kind of light in the 10 especially with the blue background. I want to change the gravel on the 10 soon cuz I really hate the blue. I didn't know wtf I was doing when I got the tank as you can see by the tacky decor. What kind of gravel would look good in the 10?

After I change the gravel the next thing I want to do is get a good peice of driftwood as a centerpeice then I'm going to get some java fern and anubias to plant in it. I think I'll have to order the driftwood though, as none of the lfs carrys any that I know of.

i love your betta tank i think the 10g is a little dark and it would look nice with different gravel and some plants

Yeah some lighter gravel would be great to lighten the whole tank up a bit.
Maybe smaller gravel though??
like pea gravel mixed with some sand??

i like the look of gravel mixed with sand but i have a UGF so i cant do it :(
