Need Some Questions Answered Please

I am going to get about 7 female bettas from Styx for my long 20g but wanted to know how I would go about opening the box, like would I just open it in normal lighting or dim lighting. Also how long should I get them used to my tank, could I just do what I do with other new fish which is to float bag for 20 min and put some tank water in bag, wait 5 min then net the fish out of bag and place them in tank?

Rather than net them out of the bag, I prefer to pour the bag out into a net over a bucket- less pokey.
With that said, I would let the box sit in the house for about twenty minutes, unbothered. Then open them up in a not so bright room, float em, and so on.

Probably so the fish can calm down from being handled by the post man before you net them and put them in the tank which will be stressful.

Honestly I don't do this. I just throw them away inside the tank

I just intro them to the tank like I would any fish I got fr the lfs. . .

let the bag sit in the tank water for 20-30mins (so water warms up)
Then take them one by one and empty them in a net over a bucket and put them in the tank. Fresh clean water!!! Mmm. . . mmm good!

That's my bestest suggestions - that's what I did for the fishes I got fr Thailand and fr Synirr.

I sit the bag on the water for 15min so they get used to the temprature, then open the bag and get some of your tankwater there then let them sit there for a further 15min then let them out

So I don't need to let the box set unbother for 20 min then and just introduce them like I normally would right?

i would leave them for atleast ten minutes. let the water settle becadse they have been across country and they arent like from the LFS where you just drive home and they are there, these are shipped across country. Shunted down a line at the postal office nd then chucked in a van so i'd leave em for a while
